Position Type: Full Time
Rate of Pay: $50,000/annually + commission/bonus
Paid Time Off: Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation

Shift Hours: Variable shifts Monday – Saturday

The agent will use their in-depth knowledge of risks and available insurance products to market suitable insurance policies to meet the needs of their customers. The agent will be working with customers that generally have 2 million+ in net worth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Acquire new customers while building and maintaining ongoing relationships
• Conduct sales presentations over the phone
• Gather information from customers, assess their insurance needs and risk profile
• Foresee customers’ insurance needs, such as policy renewals or amending existing policies
• Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
• Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans
• Use of advanced selling techniques in a consultative sales environment
• Calculate insurance premiums or awards / compute financial data
• Arrange specialized types of insurance coverage in complex cases
• Complete and follow-up on administrative tasks such as managing and processing paperwork, correspondence, keeping detailed records, ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled including the completion of appropriate forms
• Follow contract, property, or insurance laws
• Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data
• Advise clients on risk management and claims processing

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in a business discipline (Marketing / Finance Accounting)
• Minimum of 5 years successful full-time work experience in insurance sales or executive level occupation in the insurance industry
• Demonstrated experience in understanding the complex financial situations and lifestyles of high net worth customers
• Multiline insurance brokerage experience highly desirable
• Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency
• Experience with software for the purpose of submitting applications and claims processing
• Currently possess a Property and Casualty license
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must have positive attitude, professionalism and emotional intelligence (ability to listen and empathize)
• Must be ambitious, self-motivated, and have a high energy level
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Technical knowledge related to the underwriting, claims processes, as well as, the tax and legal aspects of the products sold and potential implications for their clients
